Hi! I’m Shannon.
I’m a video editor, animator, and photographer.
Check out what I’ve been up to below!
I am currently working as the Communications Director for The First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. In this role I prepare media and written materials for our weekly newsletter and church service. Post regularly to their social media platforms informing prospective and current congregants of what is happening within the church. Update and revise the website to allow the public to learn more about our mission of bettering the community.

Media Specialist
at Camp Takodah
This past summer I worked at Camp Takodah (YMCA) as their Media Specialist for the summer. In this job I created 100+ photos for both camps daily, capturing videos, creating graphics, and posting the photos not only on SmugMug for the parents to see, but also Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube to showcase what it's like at our camp and how much fun the children were having.

Masters Degree in Animation
In December 2024 I completed my Master’s Degree in Animation from Ulster University located in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
In that year I went from only knowing the basics of animation to being able to create my own with ease.
The skills obtained include 2D and 3D animation, static/motion graphics, and compositing live action video and 3D scans with animation.

Video Editor at KDKA
During my time as a video editor at KDKA my day consisted of uploading around 40 vo’s (voiceovers) and sot’s (sound over tape) into the server.
Those would be done for the noon, four, five, six, and seven o’clock nightly news. Usually towards the end of my shift I would be given a video package or two specializing in a specific topic. Those videos would range between 2-3 minutes. Shown to the left our examples of the people I would do packages for regularly.
Jon Delano’s packages would be focused on the political state of not only Pittsburgh but the entire country as well.
On a Positive Note was a segment created by Kym Gable to lighten the doom and gloom of the evening news. It took a look at the positive things happening in the Pittsburgh community at the end of the 7:30 show.
Kidsburgh took a look into what was happening with the youth in Pittsburgh. Whether it was a new fun activity a family could go to that weekend, or spreading the word on a family in need, Kristine Sorenson was reporting on it.
Photographer & Secretary Assistant
at
DiCenzo Personnel Specialist
During the summers of 2019 and 2021, I worked at Dicenzo Personnel Specialist as a photographer/secretaries assistant. In my photography, I promoted The My Work Program for future summers. This program that is run through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) gives high school students with disabilities a summer job.
Motion Graphics Intern
at Sewickley Presbyterian Church
During my internship I had multiple roles including being a crew member every Sunday for the broadcasted service. I created motion graphics from photos of the church’s scenery shown below. I also directed, recorded, and edited a video promoting a new leadership opportunity.
